Bang! Flash! Pow! Comic Con Palm Springs Is Underway

Posted: Updated:
PALM SPRINGS, Ca. -

The first ever Comic Con Palm Springs is officially underway and was kicked off with a ribbon cutting by none other than comic book legend Stan Lee.

The three day event brings together some of the most passionate and spirited people in the world of comics and entertainment.

Comic Con Palm Springs event staff and vendors began setting up earlier today to get everything ready for the widely anticipated three day event.

"Now that it's finally out here, it's just, it means so much in the sense where not many of us get that opportunity to go out. So now that it's near our home town, like I feel blessed. I don't know about anybody else, but I feel blessed," said Kathleen Harper of Desert Oasis Comics.

Big names are scheduled to be here like Marvel Comics founder Stan Lee, the original incredible hulk Lou Ferrigno in addition to Bob Gunton, Fred Williamson  and the flash himself, Sam J. Jones.

"There is a select number of incredible vendors and exhibitors, but also a huge, huge area that we have for artist alley. So we brought the most robust roster of pure comic artist and writers and creators all in one room that I haven't seen the like of since something, like you would be at a San Diego," said Comic Con Palm Springs Executive Producer Christopher Spellman.
