Windmill Catches Fire near Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, Ca. -

A windmill caught fire south of the I10 in the unincorporated area of Palm Springs on Friday.

Crews arrived on scene at 6:46 p.m. south of Interstate 10 near Pipeline and Kellogg.

Upon arrival the motor of a high windmill was on fire and was dropping burning debris below.

According to Cal Fire, the windmill has almost burned completely at the top and is significantly less active.

No injuries were reported.
