Dozens Attend CVAG meeting about CV Link

Posted: Updated:
Dozens of people attended a Coachella Valley Association of Governments meeting in Palm Desert Monday to discuss the CV Link project.
There were two rooms full of people wanting to learn more about the project and expressing their opinion about the 52-mile bike path, which would link valley cities.
The public comment portion of the meeting went for two hours.
The total cost of the project is $100 million and it would cost about $1 million a year to maintain.
There are strong opinions for and against the project.
In a new development, Goldenvoice, the producers of the Coachella Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Country Music Festivals, have offered to help fund the maintenance of the bike path.
