Coachella Fest Parties Begin

PALM SPRINGS, Ca. - PALM SPRINGS - The Valley is buzzing with activity before the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival kicks off Friday.

Many hotels and other venues are throwing big parties with live music around the festival. Some of them are invite-only, but others are free with only an RSVP required.

Check the list below for some of the hottest parties in town.

    Two young men killed in separate shootings about 20 minutes apart in Indio on Sunday were identified today. Julian Palomino Lopez, 20, of Indio, was believed to have been shot near North Jackson Park in the 43200 block of Towne Street, and 25-year-old Christopher Luis Aguilar of Indio was shot in the 83700 block of Avenue 48, Indio police spokesman Sgt. Dan Marshall said.
