A powerful, magnitude-7.2 earthquake has shaken central and southern Mexico. The U.S. Geological Survey initially calculated the quake's magnitude at 7.5, but later downgraded it to 7.2. THERMAL -- A brush fire in Thermal is now fully contained after rapidly growing to 350 acres Saturday night.More than one hundred firefighters battled the blaze in the eastern end of the valley.The fire started around 4:30 Saturday in the area of Avenue 66 and Pierce Street.Highway 86 re-opened after being closed down because of the fire.
